Usability relates to how easy a product or service is to use. The user has the ability to quickly and easily reach their goal. Usability is part of User Experience (UX) but there are also a number of other elements which help make a user’s experience more enriching. Usability refers to whether a user accomplishes their goal effectively. UX on the other hand refers to whether a user had an enriching experience while attaining their goal.
Peter Morville’s honeycomb diagram illustrates the elements of UX. The overall aim if for the product or service to have value. For this, it must be useful, usable, findable, credible, accessible and desirable.
